BRIEFS FROM IMPORTANT SUBJECTS ® UEVF 2012 (National Energy Efficiency Forum and Fair-NEEF) carried energy efficiency to the top of the agenda through a successful organization The NEEF 20ı2, JdNational Energy Efficiency Forum and Fair heldbetween ı2- ı3 January 20ı2 with the coordination of T.R. M inistry of Energy and Natural Sources, Renewable Energy Directorale and by the organization of Sektörel Fuarcılık was carried out successfully. The Forum and Fair was opened by Taner Yıldız, The Minister of Energy and Natural Sources and PrimeMinister Recep Tayip Erdoğan also visited the fa ir and at his speech he made for this occasion pointed the importance of energy efficiency. During the event, visited by approximately 4.500 visitors, energy efficiency studies carried out in Turkey were discussed in details and more than 800 companies exhibited !heir product and relevant solutions. The 3•d National Energy Efficiency Forum and Fair carried out within the scope of 31' 1 Energy Efficiency Week was opened by Taner Yıldız, The Minister of Energy and Natural Sources with aceremony held in istanbul WOW Convention Center on ı2 January 20ı2. 1n the opening ceremony Vice President of The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBiTAK) Dr. Kıvanç Dinçer, General Director of Renewable Energy Directorale Mr.Yusuf Yazar,The President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, Mr. Rita! Hisarcıklıoğlu, The President of Unıon of Chambers of Turkısh Engıneers and Archıtects (TMMOB) Mr. Mehmet Soğancı each made speeches ® Union of Air Conditioning lndustry Exporters elected its new board Union of Air Conditioning lndustry Exporters elected its new board and Mr. Zeki Poyraz, General Director of AFS Flexible Kanal Ticareti Ltd. Şti , was elected as the new president. The extraordinary General Assembly meeling was held with participation of Zafer Çağlayan, the Minister of Economics, on ı ı January in Ankara and 54 industrialists were participated to the meeting. In the election where asingle list was elected, Mr. Zeki Poyraz, General Director of AFS Flexible Kanal Ticareti Ltd. Şti was elected as the newChairmen of the Board of the Union. At his speech following the election Mr. Zeki Poyraz saying that they would, in unity and solidarity, engage in high-profile activity to increase the current export level of the sector and pointed that they would establish purchasing commitlees and weight efforts on engagements like participating international fairs.
