BRIEFS FROM IMPORTANT SUBJECTS @ Parabolic Channel Type Solar Collectors' Performance Analysis For power generation with steam and steam tribunes high temperature is needed. For medium and high temperature applications concentrating solar systems are used. Parabolic channel type solar collectors are the most important ones in these systems. System provides concentration by reflecting solar rays onto the tube at the center of the solar collectors. The most important part of the system is reflecting surfaceand collecting part. in this study different reflecting surfaces will be used and tor each reflecting surface the performance will be measured. Axial thrust is measured throughout the pump operation using special designed axial thrust measurement system. Balancing holes are drilled at various diameters at the back side of !he impellers and its effect is analyzed on !he pump performance characteristics. Test results are compared with different approaches.
